To improve the conditions of immigrants and under-resourced persons through education and social support in lower Manhattan.

Immigrant Social Services has been improving the lives of immigrants and under-resourced New Yorkers in Chinatown and the Lower East Side since 1972. Volunteers tutor K–8 students in English literacy and homework support at public schools in the neighborhood.
