To restore New York Harbor's oyster reefs while creating educational opportunities and community engagement around marine conservation.

The Billion Oyster Project is restoring one billion oysters to New York Harbor by 2035. It collects used oyster shells from NYC restaurants, grows oysters at Governors Island, and engages thousands of students and volunteers in hands-on harbor restoration and environmental education.
