Founded in 1974, Asian Americans for Equality is a civil rights and affordable housing nonprofit rooted in Chinatown. AAFE develops affordable housing, provides small business loans, offers tenant counseling, and runs after-school and youth programs across Lower Manhattan and Flushing.
